IT Podcast for New Generation – Season 2 Overview
Season 2 Overview

Connecting Cambodia’s best developers with great companies

Season 2 Overview

I’m Sum Sopha, CEO & Founder of Jobify Cambodia. From a Software Engineering graduate, I built Jobify to connect talents with opportunities, serving 170+ companies and 15,000+ seekers. My vision: AI-driven job matching and empowering Cambodia’s next generation of tech leaders.

The Khmer Coders Gathering v6 + AI Seminar united 500+ developers, students, founders, and AI experts for a full day of keynotes, showcases, and networking. Supported by partners and sponsors, the event strengthened Cambodia’s digital ecosystem and inspired the next generation of tech innovators.

In Cambodia, age and culture shape how we work. Starting Jobify at 22, I learned young people make mistakes but grow stronger with time. Instead of criticism, older generations should guide and encourage. Bridging this age gap helps Khmer Coders build collaboration and a stronger tech ecosystem.

This is my personal journey, starting with a switch to Linux in high school, which sparked a deep dive into DevOps. It covers my initial steps with a $5 VPS, learning Docker and networking fundamentals, evolving into Docker Swarm, containerizing my own code, and finally building a powerful custom homelab server for advanced learning, all leading towards my current exploration of Kubernetes.

Khmer Coders Gathering v6 + AI Seminar aims to inspire 300–500 developers, students, and innovators to explore AI, coding, and digital transformation — empowering Cambodia’s next digital generation and supporting the nation’s journey toward a smart, connected economy.

When being able to code well is a bare minimum, what comes next?

Khmer Coders Community has grown from small meetups to a national movement inspiring developers and entrepreneurs across Cambodia. Together, we empower digital talent, foster innovation, and drive social impact — building a stronger tech ecosystem for Cambodia and all Khmers. 🇰🇭✨

Khmer Coders Community held its first Siem Reap Gathering (V1), at Siem Reap House, co-organized by DataU, Jobify & MyLekha. The event featured partner & sponsor talks, networking, and open-source career tips, marking KCC’s expansion to Siem Reap. 🚀 https://khmercoder.com/events
