An AI Retro Turn Based Encounter Game

Inspired by retro design discussions, an old RPG game project, and concept from Slay the Spire, I would like to share ASCII Slayer.

You play as a Hero of a certain class and would enter encounters with random monsters. These monsters will be randomly selected. There would be skills you can choose that can damage the monsters, apply buffs/debuffs, or heal yourself. Kill the monster fast (or run out of mana and pray for a mana regen).

As with retro-ness, you navigate via keyboard (but clicking also works).

The end goal: have an ever expanding monster pool, generate ascii for them on demand via AI models. Then, create unique skills and skill effects that hit the monster (fire burning the monster etc) uniquely generated.

The motivation was to create an ascii game and see how far a mostly AI-driven codebase would go.
